Hurricanes in the Atlantic

Category one hurricane Danielle is over the Atlantic and continues moving to the north-east without affecting any land. Tropical storm Earl attains hurricane strength, this fellow is moving to the west and dangerously approaching to the northern Leeward islands in the Caribbean, the governments of Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, nevis, Anguilla, St. Martin, St. Maarten, Saba and Sr. Eustatius has issued hurricane warning and a hurricane watch is in effect for British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. It is expected that Earl makes a turn to the west-northwest before reaching such islands but if it continues with the same west path it will pass near or over them tomorrow.
The area of low pressure between the west coast of Africa and the Caribbean still has a high chance to develop (80%) into a tropical depression, we will continue tracking this one.
Currently there is no threat to Mexico because of any of these tropical systems.

Cancun Weather Today

Partly cloudy sky with short periods of sun, scattered showers are possible in the afternoon for Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. Current temperature of 86°F and 70% humidity.

Cancun current weather

Partly cloudy sky with long periods of sun, no precipitation is expected for the rest of the day, current temp 92°F and 75% humidity, isolated showers for the area of Playa del Carmen and Akumal. Actually there is no tropical systems in the Caribbean to follow, the TS Colin is about to be downgraded to Tropical Depression and it is not affecting any mainland, the disturbed area located to the east-northeast of the Leeward Islands has a good chance to become a tropical depression but again its path is forecasted over the Atlantic Ocean and hopefully would to affect any land.

Cancun current weather

We had early morning showers, the current temperature is 88°F and humidity of 76%, for the Cancun area is expected scattered showers and in the afternoon T-Storms for the Area of Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Akumal and Tulum, this is due to a tropical wave in the Caribbean approaching to the Yucatan Peninsula, it must enter to the south of Tulum near the border of Belize and Mexico on its way to Gulf of Mexico. That is just a tropical wave which means hard rain and thunder activity but no tropical storm winds, additionally the distance between Cancun and the Belize border is 220 miles to the south, so there is nothing about to worry about it.

Cancun current weather

This morning the sky is mostly clear and very few chances of rain for this area, current temperature of 86°F and 72% humidity. Isolated showers could be present on the early afternoon in Playa del Carmen but nothing to spoil your sun tan session. In regard the disturbed area in the Caribbean just as we mentioned yesterday it vanished today, the tropical storm Colin is in the Atlantic and it will not impact any land except Bermuda Island, the new formed low area at 650 miles of Cape Verde in the Atlantic will not represent any risk for any land too and its forecasted track would take it to the north Atlantic so there is no reason to worry about it at this moment. Have a nice weekend!

Cancun current weather

Mostly clear sky, precipitation for the rest of the day is not likely, current temperature 88°F and 75% humidity. There are two areas of disturbed weather, the one in the Atlantic remains and it was located this morning at 300 miles north of the Virgin Islands, the tropical wave in the southwestern Caribbean will be over Central America on the next 36 hours so it looks like that one will not grow further, however we are watching closely its path, one never knows what can happen with those natural phenomenons.

THE REMNANT OF TROPICAL STORM COLIN...A LOW PRESSURE AREA...IS

OCCURRING OVER WATER WELL TO THE NORTH OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. SLOW
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF

Cancun current weather

Partly cloudy sky with long periods of sun, no precipitation is expected for the rest of the day, current temp 92°F and 72% humidity. The tropical storm Colin vanished, actually there are two tropical waves, the first one is on the Atlantic near the Lesser Antilles which is the remnants of TS Colin, there is just a 20% chance of regeneration, the other one is in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Colombia and it has 20% chance for development, that is the one we have to track over the next few days. The weather today is beautiful, I just returned from the Cancun hotel zone where the beach area is and it is amazing the color of the water and the amount of people having fun under the sun.

Cancun current weather

Today we have partly cloudy sky with short periods of sun, we expect scattered showers in the late afternoon. About the recently formed tropical storm Colin it is still on the Atlantic Ocean, no threat to any land at this moment. There is a new disturbed area in the Caribbean sea off the coast of Colombia and Venezuela, no signs of organization but we have to keep an eye on that one for possible change. None of those tropical systems are affecting Mexico actually.

This morning the sky is partly cloudy with long periods of sun, important precipitation is not likely for the rest of the day, isolated showers for the Cancun area, current weather 88°F and 72% humidity. About the tropical systems as we anticipated the one in the Caribbean is over Nicaragua now and about to enter to the Pacific so we don't have nothing to worry about that one. In regard the disturbed weather in the Atlantic ocean it has a really high chance (90%) to convert into a tropical depression at any moment, the current forecasted path shows that it could be a fish storm (never touch the land, always over the sea) and we pray for it to happen. Cancun current weather

This morning the sky is clear, a temperature of 30°C and a humidity of 70%. The doppler radar indicates no rain for this area, precipitation chances are 20% for the area of Akumal and Tulum, generally very good weather conditions. About the tropical area in the Caribbean it seems that we won't have to worry about it since it is about to interact with land in Central America nears the countries of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, hopefully it will vanish in a couple of days. In regard the other tropical wave in the Atlantic it is more organized this morning and the distance from Cancun is 6,021 miles, so far the forecasted path indicates a northwest movement taking it to the Bahamas within the next several days, however we are monitoring the progress of that system which was labeled at "Invest 91" by the National Hurricane Center.
